Trump says US has 'all the cards' after canceling Pakistan trip for Iran talks

US President Donald Trump said he canceled a planned trip by his envoys to Pakistan for talks with Iran, saying there was no need to wait and that Washington had "all the cards." He revealed that Iran quickly sent a revised proposal after the trip was called off, but suggested it still fell short. On the Iranian side, government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said Tehran hopes to achieve sustainable peace through diplomacy while firmly defending national interests, adding that all political forces in Iran are united on national security. Reuters also reported that Tehran would not enter "imposed negotiations" under threats or blockade.
