A delegation of media and think tank representatives from Pakistan recently visited various regions in China, including the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Hubei Province and Beijing.
While visiting Xinjiang, the representatives, through on-site visits and exchanges, experienced the vitality and changes of the region from multiple perspectives, noting that what they saw with their own eyes gave them a more real and comprehensive understanding of Xinjiang.
During a visit to Maigaiti County, the representatives explored the ecological construction, modern agricultural development and distinctive folk culture of the county, experiencing firsthand the county's fruitful achievements in economic and social development, cultural heritage preservation and ecological protection.
They also gained a close-up understanding of the happy lives of people of all ethnic groups, deepening cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between China and Pakistan.
They also visited a ecological forest base for windbreak and sand-blocking and a high-standard farmland base in Xinjiang.
"This is a truly magnificent ecological project. It is truly amazing to witness such a grand project in the heart of the desert," said Rashida Shoukat, a journalist from Abb Takk News, while visiting the ecological forest base.
"These high-tech agricultural planting models are very impressive," said Javaid Iqbal, president of Pakistan's National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA), expressing hope that such advanced Chinese technologies can be introduced to Pakistan to help develop large-scale planting of various crops.
During a visit to the Urumqi International Land Port Area, Iqbal said that the port serves as a key logistics hub, providing an efficient trade corridor linking China with Central Asia and Europe, and helping facilitate regional trade.
The delegation also visited central China's Hubei Province. When visiting the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, they engaged in hands-on interactions with humanoid robots on site. The visit offered a closer look at China's latest advancements in robotics and sparked lively discussions on future cooperation in emerging technologies.
"During the visit, I witnessed firsthand China's technological development, "said Muhammad Shehryar Khan, a professor at Pakistan's Iqra University.
On Sunday, the delegation visited the Great Wall in Beijing.
