Sichuan Province is accelerating its push to turn space into a full industrial ecosystem, linking launches, manufacturing and data services into one integrated economy. In its Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, home to the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, a new commercial spaceport plan targets high-frequency, low-cost, high-safety launches by 2030, building a hundred-billion-yuan industrial cluster. Meanwhile, space technology is moving into governance on the ground, with a new big data platform launched to support sustainable development in mountainous regions.
