Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and opposition leader Yair Lapid, also a former prime minister, announced they will run together in this year's election, joining forces in an attempt to unseat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. At a joint press conference, Bennett said he and Lapid had "different opinions on a variety of issues" but were "proud" to stand together "for the good of the people of Israel."
