Qi Zai, the world's only captive brown giant panda, enjoyed some outdoor time after the rain at a science park in Xi'an City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, last week. After walking around the lush outdoor activity area, Qi Zai did a series of somersaults on the moist grass. Fully refreshed after a bath in a pool, the panda then interacted with chirping birds on a cool afternoon. The science park in Zhouzhi County of Xi'an City was established especially for the protection of four rare wild animal species living in the Qinling Mountains, namely the giant panda, the crested ibis, the golden monkey and the takin.
