China's National Data Administration announced on Tuesday the creation of a data infrastructure technology community and the launch of a data standards semantic service platform, aiming to speed up national data infrastructure and standardization during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
According to the administration, data infrastructure construction has been included among the 109 major engineering projects in the country's upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan.
The newly established technology community unites stakeholders involved in data infrastructure development, operations, technical services, scenario application development, and data processing. It will prioritize technical exchanges, verification, resource sharing, application promotion, and public outreach, aiming to reduce barriers to the practical implementation of data infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the newly launched semantic service platform aims to enhance data interpretation by AI technologies like large language models, allowing for deeper information mining and intelligent computing.
The platform is expected to provide standards support for data processing, value extraction and commercial use of data resources.
