HK legislator at UN: Remember old atrocities to prevent new ones

At the UN Human Rights Council, Hong Kong legislator Joephy Chan warned against repeating the atrocities of militarism, condemned ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, and called on the international community to "stand firm together to counteract war threats and improve global security governance." Reflecting on history, Chan emphasized that political change should also be a moment of "moral reflection," urging the world to remember the Nanjing Massacre and "comfort women" as a duty to prevent future tragedies.
