The 2026 Beijing Xiangshan Forum Navigator Meeting will be held in Beijing from May 7 to 9, a Chinese defense spokesperson said on Thursday.
Zhang Xiaogang, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, said that over 120 defense officials, experts, scholars, and media representatives from more than 30 countries and international organizations have been invited to attend the meeting.
Themed "Global Security Governance: Challenges and Approaches," the meeting will focus on international order and the rule of law, new security challenges in the Asia-Pacific, and risk management in the military application of emerging technologies.
The navigator meeting, co-hosted by the China Association for Military Science and the China Institute for International Strategic Studies, is a key forward-looking event for the main forum, which aims to build an open, inclusive, and equal international platform for security dialogue.
