Global cultures converge at Jiangsu University's international festival

Jiangsu University hosted its 16th International Culture Festival on April 25, bringing together students and visitors from around the world in a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity under the theme "Connecting Civilizations with Harmony."

The event attracted more than 1,600 international students from 45 countries and regions – including Pakistan, Russia and Ecuador – alongside over 8,000 Chinese students, faculty members and local residents. As one of many participating countries, Pakistan joined others in contributing to a dynamic and inclusive cultural exchange.

During the stage performances, students from China, Pakistan, Vietnam, Russia, Ghana and beyond presented traditional dances, songs and fashion shows, showcasing the richness of their respective cultures. Each performance aimed to add a unique voice to the shared celebration.

Meanwhile, student-organized cultural booths transformed the campus into a "mini expo" of global traditions. Representing five continents, these exhibits invited visitors to explore traditional costumes, sample international cuisines, and try hands-on crafts, offering an immersive experience of cultural interaction and mutual appreciation.
