A Japanese peace group held a photo exhibition in Yokohama on April 29 highlighting wartime atrocities committed by Japanese forces in China. In the footage from the event, a local visitor tearfully apologized to the Chinese people, saying Japan had done "very cruel things" and that she felt deeply ashamed. Other visitors said Japan must reexamine its wartime history and warned against moves to revise the country's pacifist constitution.
