Like a flowing frame of clouds, the sky encloses the Namcha Barwa peak in Nyingchi, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, into a living painting. As the clouds drift, the peak emerges and fades.

With an altitude of 7,782 meters, Namcha Barwa is located at the eastern tip of the Himalaya Mountains. As warm, humid air currents from the Indian Ocean pass over here, immense moisture condenses, producing the extraordinary sight of peaks perpetually capped with snow and always veiled by clouds.
