A hungry brown bear cub wandered into a herder's yurt in Habahe County, Altay Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and was found eating oil from a pot under a table. Local police and wildlife protection staff were called to the scene. The cub, about four months old and identified as a second-class state-protected wild animal, was later confirmed uninjured and transferred to a professional rescue center for care.
