Bodycam shows Queens house exploding as officers respond to knife call

Police bodycam footage shows the moment a home in Queens, New York City, exploded as officers responded to a domestic dispute call involving a knife-wielding man and a reported smell of gas. The blast knocked officers back as they tried to enter the house in the early morning hours on April 30. Police initially said eight officers suffered minor injuries, including burns and a head laceration. All people inside the building were accounted for and several were taken to hospital. CBS New York later reported that a body believed to be that of the suspect was recovered from the rubble.
