CMG airs special program honoring workers on Labor Day

China Media Group (CMG) will air a special program for the 2026 International Labor Day at 8 p.m. on Friday, paying tribute to national role model workers and exemplary individuals.

Themed "Walking toward the light," the program features workers across various industries in China's new era. It promotes the spirit of role model workers, labor and craftsmanship while portraying a vivid image of hardworking people as they strive with determination in the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan. The program highlights their role as the main force in promoting high-quality economic and social development and their sense of ownership and initiative.

Drawing inspiration from frontline workers, the program extends its artistic expression to vibrant working sites. It covers cities including Beijing, Xiong'an, Taiyuan, Hefei and Shenyang, as well as industries including quantum computing, intelligent voice technology and advanced manufacturing.

This special program is structured around real and moving stories of workers, and uses sections of interactive group portraits as a main vehicle of storytelling. Frontline workers are invited to share their journeys of hard work and struggle, showcasing their unyielding spirit, vigor and determination.
