US President Donald Trump on Thursday claimed that Iran is "dying to make a deal." He said only him and "a couple of other people" know the status of the peace talks.

Iran's supreme leader vowed on the same day in a defiant tone to protect his country's nuclear and missile capabilities, which Trump has sought to curtail through air strikes and as part of a wider deal to cement the ceasefire.
