The Artistic Swimming World Cup stop in Xi'an saw host China open the competition with a strong performance, collecting three gold medals and a silver on day one.
In the women's duet technical event, world champions Xu Huiyan and Lin Yanjun topped the standings with 308.2983 points, becoming the only pair to surpass the 300-point mark. In the women's solo technical competition, Xu Huiyan secured her second gold of the meet with a score of 263.8634. Her routine incorporated elements of classical Chinese poetry and highlighted both technical precision and artistic expression. Belarus' Vasilina Khandoshka finished second with 261.0983, followed by Germany's Klara Bleyer in third.
