Stretching for about 100 meters, Yixiantian, or "Strip of Sky," in Beijing's Mentougou District is a natural gorge shaped by the artistry of nature. Narrow at the top and wider below, the winding passage is flanked by towering cliffs, leaving only about a meter of sky visible overhead. Its dramatic landscape served as a filming location for the 2007 epic historical action film The Warlords. Today, it is a popular tourist destination in western Beijing.
