Forget traffic jams! In Peng'an County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, rush hour means hundreds of buffaloes charging into the Jialing River.

Every day from April to October, these water buffaloes swim straight toward an island in the middle of the river for a feast of fresh grass. The spectacular scene, known as the "hundred buffaloes crossing the river," has become one of Sichuan's most eye-catching countryside traditions and is attracting a growing number of visitors. Local villagers line the streets with specialty snacks, turning the riverside into a lively food market full of local flavor.
