A French artist, a Dali childhood, and a whole lot of crayon colors.

Meet Jonathan Sauve, who's been living in Dali City of southwest China's Yunnan Province for 11 years.

His daily routine?

Tai Chi. Running. Painting. Teaching local kids to have fun with colors.

At night? Jam sessions with friends by his fireplace.

His philosophy: "Dali is my giant color palettes," "Drawing calms me down - just like when I was little."
