Renowned as the city flower of Beijing, Chinese roses are planted at nearly every corner of the capital for their vibrant colors and long blooming season. At the Beijing Garden Expo Park, a wide variety of Chinese roses are on display. One species displays bright crimson stripes on its pink petals, as if a beautiful face had been scratched – hence the poetic name "Scratching a Beauty's Face."
