As many as 26 people died and 61 others were injured in an explosion at a fireworks plant in Liuyang, a county-level city under Changsha, the capital of central China's Hunan Province, on Monday. Emergency teams have been carrying out search and rescue operations at the heavily damaged site, while the injured have been sent to local hospitals for treatment.
