The preview left the audience in awe, with some calling the experience "visually stunning and fully immersive." One fan described how the giant IMAX screen transported them through the galaxy, saying, "The combination of the huge IMAX screen and the special aspect ratio acts like a catalyst for transformation. It's as if the spaceships and the galaxy were entering my dreams."

The Mandalorian and Grogu is set to make its debut in IMAX theaters in China on May 22, coinciding with its North American release.

Jon Favreau's latest sci-fi blockbuster is expected to open with around $80 million in domestic box-office earnings, meeting the expectations of both Disney and Lucasfilm, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Disney has reportedly readjusted its overall box-office forecasts slightly downward.
