Wu Yize became China's second consecutive World Snooker Championship winner after edging Shaun Murphy 18-17 in a dramatic final at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre.

The 22-year-old followed Zhao Xintong's triumph last year, underlining China's growing strength at the top of the sport.

In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Wu hopes his success can inspire the next generation.

After an exhausting campaign, Wu said he plans to take a short break before returning to the table, while also thanking his family for their long-term support since he moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 16.
