The Tianzhou-9 cargo craft, which had carried supplies for China's space station almost 10 months ago, undocked on Wednesday at 4:34 p.m. (Beijing Time) and began independent flight, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) said.
The cargo craft will re-enter the atmosphere in a controlled way, with any surviving debris falling into designated safe waters.
