Shandong Taishan snapped a three-year winless streak against Shanghai Shenhua with a commanding 4-1 victory at home in Jinan, east China's Shandong Province, on Tuesday night.

Cryzan delivered a standout performance, playing a role in all four goals – assisting on the first before netting a hat-trick.

The Brazilian forward made his first impact in the 24th minute, whipping in a cross from the right for Zeca to finish with a diving header.

Taishan doubled their lead just two minutes later. Valeri Qazaishvili surged down the left and picked out Cryzan, who made no mistake from close range.

Shanghai thought they had a lifeline before halftime when Liu Chengyu put the ball in the net in the 42nd minute, but the effort was ruled out for handball. The 19-year-old was also shown a yellow card.

The hosts remained firmly in control after the break. Zeca turned provider this time, releasing Cryzan on the counter for a powerful finish that made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute.

Rafael Ratao briefly pulled one back for Shenhua in the 63rd minute, converting Xie Pengfei's free kick, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished.

Cryzan completed his hat-trick nine minutes later, restoring Taishan's three-goal cushion and sealing an emphatic win.

The result lifted Shandong Taishan to fifth place in the Chinese Super League standings.

Tuesday's other results (home teams listed first):
