Pain at the pumps as US gas prices rocket 52% since Iran war

The price of regular gasoline climbed 31 cents in the past week to an average of $4.54 per gallon Wednesday, marking a 52% spike since the Iran war began, according to American Automobile Association data. With oil tankers trapped in the Strait of Hormuz, which carries a fifth of the world's crude, drivers are feeling the pain.
