A surreal stretch of forest in east China's Zhejiang Province has turned into one of Hangzhou's latest viral attractions. At Qingshan Lake, thousands of cypress trees now rise from water covered in bright green duckweed, creating a scene locals have nicknamed the "matcha forest."

The seasonal landscape appears every year as warmer weather encourages the growth of duckweed across the lake surface. Combined with the thick forest, the green water has attracted many visitors and photographers looking to enjoy peaceful summer scenery near Hangzhou.
