The death toll has risen to 37 after an explosion at a fireworks plant in central China's Hunan Province on Monday, as search and rescue operations have been basically completed, according to China Media Group on Friday.
As of Friday noon, one person is still unaccounted for, and another 51 are being treated in hospital, according to the report.
The explosion occurred at around 4:43 p.m. Monday at the plant of Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Display Company in Liuyang, a county-level city under Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province.
