Sports enthusiasts are obsessed with the joy of running, the power of jumping and the muscle pump from training, yet they often hover on the edge between passion and pain. Some call pain a "medal of sports," but does sport have to come with pain? If you face joint wear, meniscus tears, rotator cuff injuries or especially anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, can you still return to sports and the field?

To address the doubts and worries of every sports enthusiast, CGTN has spoken with Chen Shiyi, academic leader at the Sports Medicine Center of Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, sports chiropractic specialist Li Peng, plus numerous sports influencers and everyday enthusiasts for a special program that focuses on the treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

Breakthroughs in artificial ligament technology have opened up new possibilities for ACL reconstruction, helping more people return to sports and continue pursuing their passion. As Chen explains, "most sports injuries can now be effectively treated, and only scientific sports can make passion live up to health." Watch the video to see how sports medicine safeguards every athlete – and lets you leave the fear of injury behind.
