The 28th China Beijing International High-tech Expo (CHITEC) opened on Friday at the China National Convention Center, highlighting the latest advances in cutting-edge technologies, emerging industries and future-oriented innovation.
Covering an exhibition area of around 50,000 square meters, the event features six themed zones focusing on information technology, intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, green and low-carbon development, the digital economy and regional innovation. More than 800 domestic and international enterprises and institutions are showcasing their latest technological achievements.
Artificial intelligence is a key highlight of this year's expo, which features an immersive AI ecosystem experience zone under the theme of "AI Plus." Nearly 30 companies are presenting their latest innovations, including the ERNIE large language model, autonomous new-energy tractors and digital twin technologies.
Other cutting-edge technologies on display also took center stage at the expo. Humanoid robots from Beijing E-Town, a major technology and innovation hub, attracted strong interest from visitors by showcasing how intelligent machines could eventually integrate into everyday life.
Meanwhile, rocket models such as LandSpace's Zhuque-2 and Zhuque-3, along with Galactic Energy's Ceres-1, became major highlights of the exhibition. The displays reflect China's growing capabilities in the commercial space sector, especially in reusable rocket technology and orbital launch development.
Green and low-carbon transformation is another major highlight of the expo. At the international green economy association exhibition area, nearly 50 innovative technologies are being showcased, including carbon capture solutions, waste recycling and resource utilization technologies and smart energy systems.
The expo will run through May 10 and will host more than 30 trade and investment promotion events, as well as online activities during the exhibition period.
