Green development is the defining ecological feature of Xiong'an New Area in northern China.

Since 2017, Xiong'an New Area has boosted its forest coverage from 11% to 35.1% by planting trees. The region now meets a strict "3-1-300" access standard: a forest within 3 km, a green belt within 1 km, and a park within 300 meters for all residents. With a slew of parks already open, Xiong'an residents can enjoy green views from their windows and can reach a park within minutes.

Over the past nine years, more than 400 branches of state-owned enterprises have set up operations here. Xiong'an adds to Beijing's city life beyond being a capital city, and boosts the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
