The hantavirus-affected cruise ship MV Hondius arrived off the Port of Granadilla on the Spanish island of Tenerife early Sunday.

Spain has begun the evacuation process for passengers on board, with health officials boarding the vessel to carry out final medical checks and begin disembarkation, according to Spain's Health Ministry. CGTN correspondent Ken Browne reported earlier on the scene.
