Teresa Cheng, secretary general of the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed), said the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has a very strong and robust rule of law, which is very important for any dispute resolution mechanism to thrive. She noted that Hong Kong has been one of the leading dispute resolution centers in the past, primarily focusing on arbitration, making it an ideal location for the IOMed headquarters.
