China and Tajikistan on Tuesday issued a joint statement on deepening their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.

Both sides emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges to the development of China-Tajikistan relations, expressing willingness to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between governments, legislative bodies and political parties, and deepen exchanges of experience in governance.

The two sides stressed the importance of establishing a strategic dialogue mechanism between the two foreign ministers, pledging to leverage it to promote bilateral cooperation.
