From May 11 to 19, the 2nd APEC Senior Officials' Meeting and related meetings are being held in Shanghai.

The event includes a series of themed sectoral forums, including discussions on food safety. Participants have called for stronger regional cooperation on food safety to improve regulatory coordination and better protect food safety standards across the Asia-Pacific region.
