Construction began on a new nuclear power unit using Hualong One, a domestically designed third-generation nuclear reactor, in Huizhou City, south China's Guangdong Province on May 10.

The start of construction on Unit 4 marks the official launch of Phase II of the China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN) Guangdong Taipingling Nuclear Power Project.
