China: Japan's remilitarization is a doomed path

Since Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's government announced plans to push for constitutional revision, there has been widespread opposition across Japan. This has included the largest anti-war protests in decades. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun says the move would tear up the pacifist identity cherished by generations in Japan. In a press conference on Wednesday, Guo added that the protests show people from all sectors are increasingly aware that reembarking on the road of militarism is a doomed path.
