The standards help reduce costs, improve efficiency and ensure safety globally. This can raise the shale gas well success rate to over 85% and cut single well costs by 10% or more. The standards also solve sour gas development and monitoring problems effectively. So far, China has led 14 such standards adopted by over 20 countries.
