"Health is not a win-lose situation. Health is a win-win situation," said Tom Frieden, former director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and president and CEO of Resolve to Save Lives, a global initiative that aims to prevent epidemics and cardiovascular disease.

Frieden emphasized that global health depends on collaboration, not competition. When countries around the world become healthier, everyone benefits from stronger economies.

He also highlighted the role of non-governmental organizations in fostering people-to-people exchanges, reducing tensions and pooling complementary strengths.
