US President Donald Trump arrived in China's capital Beijing on Wednesday evening.

At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump is paying a state visit to China from May 13 to 15.

Xi and Trump will have an in-depth exchange of views on major issues concerning China-US relations and world peace and development.

The two leaders last met in October 2025 in Busan, the Republic of Korea. It is the first visit to China by a US president in nine years. 

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng welcomed Trump upon his arrival.
