China's digital industry generated a revenue of 9.5 trillion yuan ($1.39 trillion) in the first quarter, up 12.9% from the same period last year.

In the first three months of the year, the value-added industrial output of major companies in the electronic information manufacturing sector expanded 13.6% year on year, while the revenue of the software sector increased by 11.7% year on year.
