China is willing to work with all parties to support India in hosting a successful BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Thursday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing, Guo said BRICS is an important platform for cooperation among emerging markets and developing countries.

China highly values and actively participates in BRICS cooperation, and has always been committed to deepening the BRICS strategic partnership and consolidating the positive momentum of BRICS solidarity and cooperation, he said.

Guo added that China stands ready to work with all BRICS members to support the Indian chairmanship and promote the high-quality development of greater BRICS cooperation.
