Ahead of the meeting between Chinese and US presidents in Beijing, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, UN secretary-general candidate, former Ecuadorian foreign minister and UN General Assembly president, said the meeting could be historic because the two countries have a lot to bring to humanity.
In an exclusive interview with China Media Group, Espinosa noted that China and the United States can make major contributions to the world in terms of supply chains, trade, technological transition as well as global peace and security. She described the very fact that the two leaders are meeting in Beijing as "very good news for the world."
