In 1972, a Chinese table tennis delegation visited the US. The trepidation they had felt beforehand was quickly allayed by the warm welcome they received. Over 50 years later, the Chinese participants in that historic visit and their American hosts view it as proof that genuine friendship can cross borders and language barriers.
