The Qing Dynasty golden nanmu pagoda, one of the most treasured artifacts at the Luoyang Museum in Henan Province, was commissioned by Emperor Qianlong as a birthday tribute for the 70th birthday of his mother in 1761.

Standing 6 meters tall and weighing 4 tons, the pagoda is crafted from precious golden nanmu wood and features a three-tiered octagonal design. Carved into the pagoda are 304 Buddhist niches, each enshrining a gilded Buddha, showcasing the extraordinary craftsmanship of traditional Chinese woodworking art.
