Forty-five years ago, China's Chengdu and Slovenia's Ljubljana established a sister-city relationship, opening a new chapter of cooperation. Today, an art exhibition marks the anniversary of a partnership that transcends time and borders. Artworks by Slovenian-Chinese artist Wang Huiqin and former Ljubljana Mayor Viktorija Potočnik bring the past, present and future of a cross-cultural friendship onto the canvas.

At the exhibition, CGTN's Zhang Meng spoke with Ljubljana's two deputy mayors and the mayor of Kocevje, Slovenia's largest municipality. From ecological development and people-to-people exchanges to technological innovation, the guests shared their aspirations and expectations for deeper city-to-city cooperation.
