A magnitude-5.2 earthquake struck Liuzhou in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region early on Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
Local authorities said 13 houses had collapsed as of 4 a.m., with two people confirmed dead and one still missing. More than 7,000 residents have been relocated, while emergency teams continue search and rescue operations near the epicenter. National and regional emergency responses have been activated.
