The inaugural award ceremony for China's "Outstanding Diplomat Medal" was held in Beijing on Monday. Eight foreign diplomats received the medal in recognition of their outstanding contributions to promoting friendship and cooperation between China and their countries.
The recipients are former Russian Ambassador Andrey Denisov, former Cambodian Ambassador Khek Caimealy Sysoda, current Pakistani Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, current Kazakh Ambassador Shakhrat Nuryshev, current Saudi Ambassador Abdulrahman Alharbi, former Chadian Ambassador Allah-Maye Halina, current Colombian Ambassador Sergio Cabrera Cardenas, and former Uruguayan Ambassador Juan Fernando Lugris Rodriguez.
