M5.2 quake strikes Liuzhou, rescue efforts underway

A magnitude-5.2 earthquake struck Liuzhouin south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region early Monday. Fourteen buildings collapsed, while more than 7,000 residents were evacuated. Emergency teams are carrying out rescue operations, with regional and national authorities activating Level-III and Level-IV emergency responses.
