Ukraine launches one of its biggest drone attacks on Moscow region

Russia says it has faced the largest Ukrainian drone attack of the conflict so far, with more than 1,000 drones intercepted across the country in just 24 hours.

According to Moscow, over 120 drones targeted the capital region overnight. Four people were killed, including three in the Moscow region, and at least 17 others were wounded.

Ukraine says the strikes targeted Russia's military industry and oil infrastructure. Confirmed targets included Moscow's Kapotnya oil refinery, the Elma technology park in Zelenograd, and oil pumping stations around the capital.

The attacks also caused major disruption to air travel. More than 200 flights were delayed or cancelled at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport, while dozens more were diverted.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the strikes "entirely justified," after Russia carried out its heaviest bombardment of Kyiv in more than four years earlier this week.
